Job Description:

In this role you will provide high-quality grooming services, ensuring the comfort and safety of each dog, and maintaining a clean and professional grooming environment. This role requires excellent handling skills, a passion for animals, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• perform all aspects of grooming, including bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and de-shedding

• groom dogs according to breed standards and owner requests

• assess the condition of each dog’s skin, coat, and overall health; report any concerns to management or owners

• handle dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and coat types safely and confidently

• keep grooming area clean, sanitized, and organized at all times and maintain grooming tools and equipment

• communicate professionally with clients regarding grooming needs, preferences, and any issues noted during grooming

• work collaboratively with daycare and boarding staff to ensure smooth flow of dogs in and out of grooming

• follow all facility safety protocols and animal welfare standards

Qualifications:

• proven experience as a professional dog groomer (portfolio or demonstration may be requested)

• formal grooming training or certification is preferred

• strong knowledge of breed-specific grooming styles

• ability to handle dogs safely, including anxious, elderly, or special-needs pets

• excellent communication and customer service skills

• ability to work independently and efficiently

• physical ability to lift dogs up to ~25 kg (with support available for larger dogs)

Language Requirements:

• English (fluent)

• French (moderate)

• Other languages are a plus (particularly Luxembourgish)

Other Information:

Candidates possessing certifications in Pet First Aid/CPR will have an advantage. A willingness to learn and grow are important to your success at Lucky Dogs.

Lucky Dogs is currently searching for a "Doggie Daycare & Dog Walking Enthusiast" to work at our building in Capellen, Luxembourg.

Job Description:

You will supervise, engage, and manage the activities of groups of dogs in our facility as well as outdoors in our play area. Additionally, you will take groups of dogs out for a walk during certain periods of the day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• supervising and tending to the dogs in our care

• reinforcing good behavior in the dogs through rewards

• gently interrupting dogs engaged in undesirable behaviors and redirecting those behaviors

• walking dogs in groups of 4-6 on our daily adventure walks for exercise

• keeping records of each dog’s behavior and activities (for report cards for their owners)

• capturing social media content (pictures and videos) to share with owners and on our Facebook/Instagram pages

• cleaning and maintaining the facility

This is a part-time role of ~16 hours per week. However, as we are a growing company, opportunities to increase the number of hours are likely in the near future. Working time is Monday-Friday 8:00am – 6:00pm and Saturday-Sunday 9:00am - 6:00pm (with 1 hour lunch break). Your assigned shifts will be scheduled during these working times. Candidates must be consistently available during this time period due to our need to preserve and maintain the high level of premium care for the dogs in our facility during daycare hours.

Other Information:

Candidates possessing certifications in Pet First Aid/CPR and/or dog behavioral training will have an advantage. However, we will provide regular training to our employees (of all levels of experience) to continually improve and enhance their skills in these areas.
