How to Join Lucky Dogs

  1. Register on our website: Click the green "Reserve" button at the upper-right of the page and then click the "Are you a new customer?" link at the login screen. You will be able to create a new account on this screen. You can also create a provisional boarding reservation as part of the registration process if you already have dates in mind for your first booking.

    Shortly after registering, you will receive a "welcome" email from us to proceed to the next step.
     

  2. Send a picture or scan of the relevant vaccination passport pages for your dog(s) in reply to our "welcome" email. We need 3 pages from your pet's vaccination passport. Please be sure that all photos or scans show the entire page including the vaccination stickers, expiration dates and the passport book number.
     

    • Pet Information Page: This is typically in the first few pages and has your pet's name on it.

    • Rabies Vaccinations Section: The latest page from this section (typically around page 10 of the vaccination passport book).

    • Other Vaccinations Section: The latest page from this section (typically around page 24 of the vaccination passport book).
       

  3. ​Contact our office by phone to schedule the evaluation for your dog(s). Our office is open Monday-Friday between 8:00 and 18:00. We often do not have time to answer the phones in the mornings. But we will call you back if you leave a message. See below for more information regarding the Pet Evaluation.​

Validation of Vaccinations

All dogs joining the Lucky Dogs community require the vaccinations specified on the Required Vaccinations page of our website. It is quite common that dogs are fully vaccinated except for Bordetella and Parainfluenza. We recommend that you confirm that your dog is up to date on all required vaccinations as soon as possible to ensure that s/he can stay with us on your desired dates

Pet Evaluation

We are a cage-free environment with two main group rooms. One room is for larger and/or more active dogs. The other room is for smaller, less active or senior dogs. We require each dog joining the Lucky Dogs community to complete an evaluation so that we may ensure that s/he is compatible with and can thrive in this type of cage-free environment. This rule also applies to dogs in our boarding service because they join our daycare program during the day.

Pet evaluations are by appointment only and involve bringing your dog(s) to Lucky Dogs to stay for a few hours (minimum 2 hours). Appointments can be scheduled Monday - Friday at 13:30 or later but must be completed before 18:00. You will also receive a brief tour of our facility during the pet evaluation.

 

The evaluation costs 20€. We will send you an invoice via email after the pet evaluation is complete if the evaluation is successful. In the event that your pet does not pass the pet evaluation, you will not be charged.
